Girls Swimming      Fall Sport

The first day of practice for girls swimming is Thursday, September 9th. Registered swimmers should report to the pool area after school. Swimmers should have a swimsuit and towel. 

Girls swimming is open to all girls in grades five through eight. Practice will run from 2:45-5pm. 5th will practice M W F and 6th -8th  M-F.  Online registration for girls swimming will open July 21st.  Early registration is strongly encouraged.  Participants will need to provide their own practice suit, goggles and swim cap. 

Needed for all practices:  one piece swim suit, swim cap, goggles, athletic clothing and shoes.

Daily Practice Schedule:
Pool Time 2:50-4:10
Dryland/Team Meeting until 5:00.

5th graders participate Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 
During the course of the season all participants will be challenged accordingly to their level of ability. There is a wide range of abilities and each swimming will be assessed individually.
Swimmers will need to be able to execute a given event/stroke legally to compete in a swim meet. Swimming strokes are as follow: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle.

*Relays are comprised of 4 different swimmers swimming a designated distance and stroke. One relay member dives in as the previous member touches the wall.
