When: Practices on Mondays beginning in January, with the competition in mid February
Who can participate: 7th & 8th grade students selected by coach via tryout test questions/math team performance (10 students maximum)
What it’s all about: MathCounts is a national middle school mathematics competition established in 1983. Its purpose is to build problem solving skills, confidence, and improve attitudes toward math for students of all ability levels. The MN Junior High Math League meet topics are based on the MathCounts topics.
