Middle School Sports Registration         

Basic Information

Middle school students interested in participating in sports at Hasting Middle School must register online. Registration is an online process via the Affinety portal. See below for more info on Affinety. Registration will stay open for 2 weeks after the start of practice. Registration needs to be done by noon, for the student to participate that day. Registration received after noon will have to wait until the following day to begin practice. Every participant is required to have a current physical on file with the school. See below for more information on physicals. Once the online registration is complete, the student will still need to be cleared by the Athletic Office. If a student is not cleared, you will be notified as to what is needed in order to participate. There is a fee for each sport participation. Athletes in grades 6th-8th will be charged $120, 5th grade will be charged $80. If you have a 7th or 8th grader that is participating in a high school sport, you need to pay the high school participation fee.  


Every student is required to have a current physical on file. There are no exceptions to this rule! If you do not know if you have one you can check on Infinite Campus. Under the Menu choose Health, then Immunizations, scroll to the bottom and it will have the Last Sports Physical date. Sport physicals need to be updated every three calendar years from the physician's signature date. Your student's physical must be valid through the sport season they are registering for.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is offering a series of free athletic physicals at a variety of east metro locations in July and August. Registration is required. For a complete schedule and more information, visit their website at This Link.

Physical paperwork can be turned into the Middle School Athletic department, in the main office in the Sports Physical bin or emailed to [email protected]


All sports registration must be completed online. Link Sport Registration Link Click on the Red Soccer Ball. For best results when registering, use the Firefox browser. Paper registration will not be accepted. If you need computer access you could use your child’s Chromebook or contact the Athletic Office Administrative Assistant at 651-480-7141. You only need to set up an account once per family, you can just add another child. For the first time setup and to add another student, you need your child's student ID number and birthday. If you forgot your log in, the username to reset your password would have been an email address. 

Sport Apparel

Some sports have apparel that can be or needs to be purchased. That info will be on the sport specific page. To order and pay for this, it needs to be done online. Link to order apparel: Purchase Apparel  Then click on the Green School House, choose Middle School, and MS Athletic Apparel. Once you have ordered and paid for the apparel, a receipt needs to be sent or brought to the main office for pick up. You can email a receipt to [email protected]

Refund Policy

The athletic fee will be refunded only if a student drops out of the sport within 14 days (2 weeks) from the first day of practice. NOT from the registration date. In order to be eligible for a refund, the athlete or parent must notify the middle school athletic office within the 14 days. Any equipment and/or uniforms must be turned in before a refund will be issued.
