Friday, May 30th - A Day
Students, make sure to check the lost and found for any items you are missing. Anything left in the lost and found, after the last day of school, will be donated.
7th graders, a message from Mrs. Johnson: I appreciate how you followed Raider Way expectations in the cafeteria yesterday. You exhibited being safe, respectful and responsible. Keep this up for the rest of the school year!
If you ride any type of bike to school, please do not start riding your bike (especially e bikes) until you have gone past the bus areas. We have seen situations where there were almost accidents. Be careful please! We don’t want anyone getting hurt.
Reminder to all students: Return your library books to the media center as soon as possible! You will be responsible for the cost of any books that you don't turn in. Please help us keep sharing your favorite books!
Attention 8th graders - Chromebook collections are Monday. Please be sure to bring your Chromebook and your charger that morning. If you don't turn in your charger, you will owe $20. Also, please be sure to remove any accessories before you turn in your laptop!
The Raider Cove is open today for the last time this year. Remember to bring your tickets to lunch to use or save in your account with the Cove. Also, be sure to thank the volunteers that have worked so hard all year long to have the Cove available.

Thursday, May 29th - B Day
No more garden club this year.
6th grade will sit in advisory seating at lunch today due to behavior yesterday. We need to follow the lunchroom expectations and we will go back to regular seating.
Congrats to the following Outdoor club kids who slayed the fish at the secret spot yesterday, catching between 75-100 fish in 1.5 hours.

The high school seniors will be walking our halls tomorrow morning to celebrate their graduation. Dress in Raider gear to honor the accomplishments of our Hastings Seniors.
Tomorrow is the last day for the Raider Cove to be open. 5th-7th graders, you can deposit any unused tickets to be carried over for next year. Bring all your tickets with you to lunch to use or turn in to save for next year.

Wednesday, May 28th - A Day
Treat Trucks are here for 5th and 7th grade during advisory
Don’t forget the Treat Trucks are coming tomorrow for 6th and 8th grade, so bring money with you to school! Please be a responsible Raider and bring the money with you to school, don’t rely on your parents to bring it to the middle school - plan ahead. The Snow Kone truck is coming, with a cost of $4, with flavors of strawberry, watermelon, bubble gum, blue raspberry, and cotton candy. SchoolHouse Scoop is also coming, with a cost of $5, with flavors of Pirate’s booty, Cookies and Cream, Superman, and Cookie Dough. We will also have some assorted treats to buy, such as bomb pops and other ice cream. Figure out what you want to buy before you get outside so that lines run smoothly. And remember, one treat per person because we have 600 students to get through the lines each day.
Reminder to the students on bikes and eBikes; please do not ride around crowded sidewalks. There are more walkers than bike riders, please be safe so no one gets hurt.

Tomorrow is the deadline to bring in your tug of war donations to your advisory class. Winners will be announced on Monday. If you forget your donations at home tomorrow, they WILL NOT be delivered to you or your advisory class so don’t forget tomorrow is the final day for collection!

Outdoor Club Members: If you were unable to attend yesterday’s meeting, please stop by Mr. Shemon’s room for a permission slip. All slips are due next Thursday, May 15.
8th Grade DC kids- 29 days till DC!!-remember the Parent Meeting tonight 7PM in the HMS auditorium
If you’re ready to play Bingo after school with the student council, meet in the cafeteria. The cost is $2 to play. We will play until 3:30pm.

Attention next year’s WEB leaders. If you didn’t check your email yesterday, please do so today about an important message about tomorrow’s play day.
There are only 2 days left after today to bring in those donations to your advisory class. Remember, the top two classes in each grade earn their way into the tug of war. Who doesn’t want a chance at pulling the staff into a pool of ice cold water????
OurStudent Council is hosting one more after school BINGO this year. Tomorrow after school in the cafeteria from 2:45-3:30 pm. The cost is $2 to play. It is open to all students 5th - 8th grade.
Attention Outdoor Club: Please meet in Mr. Shemon’s room to discuss our upcoming fishing trip and create your own lure. Our meeting will last until 3:30. See you there!
National Nurses’ Day - Be sure to remind our school nurses how much we appreciate their care and all they do for us! Nurse Erin and Nurse Rachel you are Rockstars!
